Beth Emunah Drash, January 2018
HaShem told Moshe to tell Phorah something. Do you know what that was?
That’s right…Let My People Go!
But go where?
Have you ever just gotten in the car with your Mom and Dad, but you didn’t know where you were going. Weird huh!
So God told him to go to Pharoah and say Let me people go! And I will show Pharoah what I can do and you can tell Son’s and there Son’s everything I did, so you know that I am God!
That’s what happened to the children of Israel. They didnt know where they were going either, but they trusted Moshe to get them there. Why? Because he was trusting God to keep them safe!
The Children of Israel had been living in Egypt for over 400 years! That’s a long time! Moshe loved God and knew that God had a plan and all Moshe had to do is listen and obey. Just like with you Mom and Dad. They love you so much and they have a plan for you too.
Now all of the people were going to leave their homes and they had been there a long time. Think they were scared? I bet they were. But they had Moshe to follow and Moshe was following God. They trusted Moshe to take them where God wanted them
He wants us to follow him, so that we can tell everyone of the good things he has done. Just like he did for all of the Israel in Egypt. He said trust me…where we are going is going to be great and ill be right there with you.
Just like you trust your Mom and Dad, so HaShem wants us to trust Him and we do that by Trusting in His Son, Yeshua. When He takes you somewhere, He will keep you safe. No matter where you go, He will be there, Right inside you. Yep! The Rurach of God is inside you and me when we trust in Him.
Parent note…A servant of HaShem does not do anything on his own, but everything according to the will of God through the power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh. HaShem is continually giving people new opportunities. It is HaShem's desire that none perish, and with each new opportunity to start fresh and begin a new life serving Him.
HaShem hopes people will realize how much He is needed in their lives. And trusting Him will take us placing we never imagined.
Remember…Your Children and Grand Children are trusting you. Are desire is as they trust us, they will see that we trust in our Lord. A combination that will never fail us!
Shabbat Shalom
